IS THERE SUCH THING AS A JUST WAR?

No, I disagree with the question “Is there such thing as a Just War”, In my point of view a Country or a Person should not be given the authority to declare War Regardless of the motive.
Although there are different types of Wars of such as;

• Civil war – which is between two different governments fighting over the authority of the country e.g. Angolan civil War in 1975
• World war – Is a war that involves a multiple of large populated counties e.g. world war 2 in 1939
• Revolutionary War – when citizens of a country declare war against the government for change/rights e.g. Lexington and concord in 1775
• Religious War – A battle between different people who have different beliefs or cultures e.g. Crusades War in 1095

I believe that All Wars has some sort of negative effect on humanity, I also believe that Most People use and declare War for the wrong reasons such as power, Greed and Money and others for their Rights and Equality, either way it does not justify the amount of destruction it brings.

Impact During War

War affects lives of people and Families, It causes physical and mental damage which can take ages to recover and some never recover even after war.
War creates separation where many have to leave their homes and migrate to escape
War losing their families as a result.
Cities are destroyed, children fall victims of disturbing scenes.
People Including women and children die, or are seriously injured.
Many children end up as orphans because their families have been killed.
Men become soldiers against their own will, being separated from their wives and children and fear they may never come back home again.
According to Archbishop Oscar Romero (one day before his assassination) he stated “Brothers, you came from our own people. You are killing your own brothers” – http://justicebeforecharity.org/just_war.php
In countries children become soldiers forcing them to kill their own family and siblings.

Life After war

After one’s victory, many is Lost and Almost everything has been destroyed to pieces, I learned from http://lifeafterwar.org/, The road to recovery is a long and tiring journey, although relieved, Many are left confused and depressed, not to count the amount of tears they shed for their lost loved ones, I can only believe those who have been part or witnessed a war have been scarred for life.
People have to Take courage and rebuild their homes and families, I doubt many cope leaving them with no hope and committing suicide.

Is There a “Right” WAR?
I believe if people could avoid war they would, there is no right war that should be fought by humanity that makes it right, condemning people to risk their lives and of their loved ones without a choice.
I understand that for some War is crucial like a revolutionary war, where their Independence and freedom depends on it especially if there is a chance to change the future, however, There is no guaranteed results of the outcome of the war, many lose their lives in vain and the situation or circumstance would still remain the same or might even worsen affecting many more lives of people.

“What the horrors of war are, no one can imagine. They are not wounds and blood and fever, spotted and low, or dysentery, chronic and acute, cold and heat and famine. They are intoxication, drunken brutality, demoralization and disorder on the part of the inferior… jealousies, meanness, indifference, selfish brutality on the part of the superior.”- Florence Nightingale (http://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/63031.Florence_Nightingale)

  1. You have found some expert opinion here and made it clear what your view is. I also noticed that you gave clear links to all of the sources that you used.

To make this piece even better you should try and give more of your own view and not rely too much on expert testimony. After all, your opinion is what we want to hear! I also do not think that bullet points are the ideal form for this sort of writing. People prefer to read sentences written in clear paragraphs.

Finally, if you are stuck for something to say try adding points that you believe the opposition might raise and explaining why you disagree.

I look forward to seeing a second draft.
